Visit Hamburg -

Miniatur Wunderland - The worlds largest model railway

 Portside Game Assembly

If you visit Hamburg, you can't miss Miniatur Wunderland (Miniature Wonderland). The world's largest model railway delights more than a million visitors every year with lovingly designed dioramas that bring some of the world's most iconic places directly to Hamburg. There is something to see or a hidden Easter egg to discover at every turn. And if you don't just want to gaze at the small worlds from a bird's eye view, you can now shrink down thanks to augmented reality and experience the small dioramas from the perspective of the countless little figures.

Our tip: Book your visit to Miniatur Wunderland in advance and save yourself long waiting times in the queue.

Bunker St. Pauli

 Portside Game Assembly

Discover Hamburg’s new landmark: the Green Bunker St. Pauli! This WWII-era structure was transformed into a stunning rooftop garden with over 4,700 trees and 16,000 plants across five pyramid-like levels. Opened in summer 2024, the bunker features panoramic views, cultural spaces, an urban garden, and a hotel. Climb a 600-meter “mountain path” to explore the lush rooftop 58 meters high. Celebrated as a model for climate adaptation and citizen involvement, the project blends history, sustainability, and bold design—an absolute must-see in the heart of Hamburg.
